As temperatures rise this summer, cool off in the pool, a spray park or a cooling center!
The City’s Homewood Healthy-Active Living Center (7321 Frankstown Ave.) will extend its hours until 7 p.m. whenever “real feel” temperatures reach 90 degrees or more, as reported by the National Weather Service. Residents 60 years of age or older are welcome to visit the Healthy-Active Living Center for games, refreshments, a game of pool, and access to the Internet and exercise equipment.
Free spray parks in Beechview and Troy Hill are open now for children of all ages. Visit the Beechview facility (next to Vanucci Playground on Orangewood Street) or the Troy Hill facility (next to Cowley Playground on Goettman Street) daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
All 19 City pools will open June 16 and passes are on sale now! For more information, visit the Citiparks website at www.citiparks.net.
