“On the block of Black Street between Borland and North Beatty in East Liberty, this flower bed and dresser on the corner is now the unofficial side yard of Maureen Copeland.

One day, it will be the shared garden and “food forest” (euphemism for fruit trees) for seven households, with more waiting to get places nearby.

The Borland Green Ecovillage is taking shape.”
