Thanks to all who came out for the Gallery on Penn one-year anniversary party on Friday, November 8. It was a joyous evening of celebration and connection for our community of local entrepreneurs. Mayor Bill Peduto even stopped by to deliver a proclamation, recognizing this unique space which localizes small business support.

Upon entry, patrons had the chance to experience, purchase from, and support, 10+ new and existing small businesses, including CobblerWorld Baked Goods, Zuri Beads, Naptural Beauty Supply, and RoyallyFit LLC, enjoy live entertainment, and indulge in delicious food and drink. The environment was warm and welcoming and hosted some of Pittsburgh’s most cherished and effective changemakers, including but not limited to, Mayor Bill Peduto and Diamonte Z. Walker, deputy director of the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA).

All of us at ELDI, the Gallery on Penn, and our partners at Circles Greater Pittsburgh would like to extend our deepest gratitude to our supporters and patrons who have made our vision of equalizing opportunity to access a reality through resiliency, hard work, and community advocacy.

> Also worth celebrating: the URA and Circles Greater Pittsburgh won a Silver Excellence in Economic Development award from the International Economic Development Council for Gallery on Penn’s sister program, Catapult: Startup to Storefront.

Stay tuned for more updates coming soon!
