Vanilla Pastry Studio (6014 Penn Circle South) is one of a dozen restaurants in Pittsburgh participating in the “Red Campaign” in honor of World AIDS Day on Dec. 1. Establishments in Pittsburgh will donate a portion of their proceeds from the week, or from certain specials, to promote the efforts of local AIDS organizations. Vanilla will donate 25 percent of proceeds from a World AIDS Day-themed dessert throughout the week.

Other restaurants in the East End that will participate include: La Gourmadine Bakery (4605 Butler St.), J’eet (4200 Penn Ave.), Quiet Storm (5430 Penn Ave.), Remedy Restaurant and Lounge (5121 Butler St.), Round Corner Cantina (3720 Butler St.) and Spin (5744 Ellsworth Ave.).
