The EECM Community Stress Center was created to improve the well-being of people who live in and around the East End by offering services to reduce stress and maintain physical and mental health. The Community Stress Center is now open every Tuesday and Thursday from 12-4 p.m. in East Liberty Presbyterian Church (116 S. Highland Ave.). Health and wellness screenings will be offered every time the Center is open. Attendees must be 18 years of age or older.

Here’s the EECM CSC schedule for June:

  • Tuesday 6/7: Ask the Nurse with Terry Shields from 1-3 p.m. Terry will be available to discuss questions regarding medications, or any other health-related issues.
  • Thursday 6/16: Kate Showalter Stoltzfus will perform hand and back massages from 1-3 p.m. There will also be a nurse on-site to perform blood pressure and blood sugar screenings .
  • Tuesday 6/12: Brittany Green from the Eastside Neighborhood Employment Center will answer employment questions and discuss employment options from 12-1 p.m.
