The EECM Community Stress Center was created to improve the well-being of people who live in and around the East End by offering services to reduce stress and maintain physical and mental health. The Community Stress Center is now open every Tuesday and Thursday from 12-4 p.m. in East Liberty Presbyterian Church (116 S. Highland Ave.). Health and wellness screenings will be offered every time the Center is open. Attendees must be 18 years of age or older.
Here’s the EECM CSC schedule for May:
- Thursday 5/5: Dietician Mark Dinga will discuss a wheat free/gluten free lifestyle and answer questions on Celiac’s disease from 1-3 p.m.
- Thursday 5/12: At 1, 2 or 2:30 p.m. attend a half hour yoga/meditation session with Kimberly from Yoga Hive (5491 Penn Ave.).
- Thursday 5/26: Participate in a Progressive Muscle Relaxation session as a way to help reduce and cope with daily stress. Sessions will be offered at 1, 1:30, 2 and 2:30 p.m.
