1-800-GOT-JUNK? and AAA are hosting a free electronic recycling event in East Liberty Saturday, May 12! Drop off your unused electronics at AAA (5900 Baum Blvd.) from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. this Saturday.
In 2010, the Covered Device Recycling Act passed, requiring the recycling of electronics. Beginning in 2012, the Act bans the disposal of electronics from the landfills in Pennsylvania.
This is a free service offered to anyone with an old electronic device. All electronics with a cord are accepted, except those that cool, like fridges or air conditioners. Computers, TVs, stereos and old cell phones are all accepted!
