Praised for its panache by The New York Times, the acclaimed Harlem Quartet returns to Pittsburgh to perfomance on July 11. The quartet features Ilmar Gavilan, violin; Melissa White, violin; Jaime Amador Medina, violo; and Matthew Zalkid, cello. Each member os a seasoned solo artist, having appeared with the Pittsburgh Symphony, new York Philharmonic, and Boston Pops. As a quartet, they have performed at The WHite House for President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama and are the resident ensemble in the New England Conservatory of Music’s Professional String Quartet Program.
