Sound designer/engineer/DJ Herman “Soy Sos” Pearl and five dancers, including Seth Grier, Jessica Marino, Ethan Gwynn, Marina Batista, and Jasmine Hearn, are collaborating on the development of “…on being…” Dramatic Advisor is Adil Mansoor and costumes were created by Rachel Vallozi.
Choreographer Staycee Pearl said “With “…on being..,.” we are not looking to give answers or to declare a position, but simply to invite our audience into our discussion, which continuously un-earths one complexity after another in relation to identity. “…on being…” feels lush, raw and fresh.”
The evening begins at 7 pm with a mixer and a discussion will follow the premiere peformance on Friday evening.
Students are invited to a sneak preview of “…on being…” on Friday, February 22 at 10 am for the one-hour abridged version of the production that includes a conversation with the artists.
Tickets are $20 for residents of Zip code 15206; $15 for students and artists; $25 in Advance; and $35 at the door. Tickets to the artSEEDS performance are $2.50.
