KST’s FAMILYTime Event “Sunstars in the Making” Features, Music, Works, Dialogue
Music, workshops and conversations with women in the arts highlight the Kelly Strayhorn Theater’s FAMILYTime series “Sunstars in the Making,” a free event on Saturday, March 30 from 2 to 4 pm.
Workshops will be presented by Nina Barbuto of Assemble, who creates programs designed to connect people and demystify art and technology; and by Michele Goodman of I.M.A.G.E. which stands for Interview, Makeup/Modeling, Appearance, Grooming, Etiquette. Kim “Dr. Goddess” Ellis will moderate a dialogue about women in the arts. Well-known to Pittsburghers, Ellis is a writer, entertainer and scholar of American and Africana Studies and an activist.
The Kelly Strayhorn Theater is located at 5941 Penn Avenue in East Liberty. Those who register in advance to attend the event at www.kelly-strayhorn.org are eligible to win a prize.
