“The Conflict Kitchen in East Liberty tonight will host a dialogue on contemporary politics and culture in Venezuela. The conversation will take place in both Pittsburgh and Caracas, Venezuela, and will stream live on the Internet.
“Live! On the Radio” is hosted by Sujatha Fernandes here, and by activists in Caracas. Ms. Fernandes is the author of “Who Can Stop the Drums? Urban Social Movements in Chavez’s Venezuela.”
The event will be held at the Waffle Shop, 124 S. Highland Ave., East Liberty, around the corner from Conflict Kitchen, from 8:30 to 10 p.m. It’s free and open to the public. Refreshments, including Venezuelan desserts, will be served.”
