Vento’s Pizza will officially be closing its doors March 4th, 2023. After 67 great years in the neighborhood, Al Vento Jr., who took over the family business started by his father Al Vento in 1956, will be moving on to enjoy his retirement and some well-earned time with his family. We’re sad to see you go Vento’s, but thanks for all the memories and delicious pizza!
A quote from our interview with Al Vento Jr. earlier this year. He shares Al Vento Senior’s response to why he does what he does.
More than just a pizza place, we will remember the Vento family for how they helped a lot of our youth and troubled adults with employment and summer jobs. We will remember how they fed a lot of people who couldn’t pay. We will remember their dedication to the neighborhood and their integral place in the fabric of our community. One of the best family-owned businesses will now be in the history books!
