The Pittsburgh Parking Authority approved June 21 a pilot program to cut rates in the Sheridan/Kirkwood and Sheridan/Harvard lots from $1 to 50 cents/hour beginning July 1. In addition, there are no more time limits on these lots.
The rates in other Parking Authority-controlled lots in East Liberty will remain the same, as will the cost for on-street meters.
Read about the parking pilot in the Post Gazette and the Tribune Review.
You’re right–there was a hiccup in correcting the rates at these lots. The good news is, they have now been corrected and the rates ARE $.50 an hour. Sorry for the confusion.
This information is false. The rate charged on 7/2 is still $1.00 per hour.
