Councilmen Patrick Dowd and Bill Peduto are both holding public meetings on parking assets and the City’s pension system.
The District 7 meeting with Councilman Patrick Dowd will take place Wednesday, Oct. 6 at 7 p.m. at the Stephen Foster Community Center (286 Main St. in Lawrenceville). The District 8 meeting with Councilman Peduto will take place Tuesday, Oct. 12 at 7:30 p.m. in the Winchester Thurston Auditorium (Morewood and Ellsworth Avenues in Shadyside).
At these meetings, the councilmen will hear comments and present information regarding leasing of public parking assets to JP Morgan Asset Management and LAZ Parking as a means to stabilize the city pension system. The recent parking study and alternatives to leasing will additionally be discussed.
