Join CLP-East Liberty as they kick off their Winter Read-a-Thon with local poet Terrance Hayes Saturday, Jan. 22 at 2 p.m. at the library (130 S. Whitfield St.)!

Hayes’ most recent book of poetry, Lighthead, won the National Book Award in its category in 2010. He teaches creative writing at Carnegie Mellon University.

Hayes is helping to kick off the Winter Read-a-Thon, a CLP fundraiser that encourages library supporters and reading enthusiasts to acquire pledges based on how much they read from Jan. 8-Feb. 19. For more information on the Read-a-Thon, visit the CLP website.
