Drawing on sources as diverse as dubstep and Appalachian murder ballads, “The Wholehearted” uses text, choreography and live-feed projection to explore the contradictory nature of truth. Suli Holum (nominated for a Drama Desk Award for her performance in “Chimera”) plays a proud but unreliable former champion reliving her glory days in a run-down boxing gym, dreaming of a comeback. Suli and her team, Deborah Stein, Polly Carl (dramatug), Mimi Lien (set ddessign), James Sugg (sound design and original song), Imagi-nary Media (video), Oana Botez (costumes), ad Stephen Arnold (lights) come to KST fpr a residency to develop the work that will have its premiere next year.
