Town Square construction continues!
Despite bad weather, construction for Town Square is still underway. Rain garden soils are being put into place. Rain garden soil is special because its composition makes it easier to absorb water, keeping the water out of of our sewers.
Another component of Town Square are the large trees. Before these trees can be planted, however, limestone benches need to be placed. The benches will provide seating and assure that Town Square is a real community space. After those benches have been placed, the trees can be planted. The planting happens after the placement of the benches to ensure that the benches do not crush any roots from the trees.
