I can’t wait to shop there. Thank you to East Liberty Development, Friendship Development and community members for getting involved in bringing Trader Joes to Pittsburgh. Now all we need to push for is thier great wine selection!!!

oooh, I love that from my office in East Liberty I can now walk to both Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s. Now all we need is a cool neighborhood coffee shop in the heart of things at Penn & Highland!

Regarding the “cool neighborhood coffee shop” mentioned by Andrew above: The Kelly-Strayhorn is interested in exploring the idea of a food-and-drink concession and fair-weather sidewalk cafe, to be located in our lobby, that would serve both the audiences that attend shows at the KS, and also neighborhood snackers during daytimes in warm-weather months. If you are an entrepreneur and would like to discuss this with us, please go to and contact us.
