Be sure to come to the East Liberty Transit Revitalization Investment District (elTRID) meeting TONIGHT at East Liberty Presbyterian Church (116 S. Highland Ave.) from 6-8!
Want to know more about elTRID? Read all about it in today’s Pittsburgh Tribune-Review:
“Pittsburgh officials want development planned around the East Liberty Busway station to help pay for fixing up roads, sidewalks and storefronts, and are asking the public to weigh in tonight.
Station Square-based GSP Consulting is studying a proposed “transit district” for the area — a half-mile circle around the busway where a chunk of property tax revenue would be steered back into infrastructure improvements.
Though plenty of developments are planned for the area, including parts of East Liberty, Shadyside and Larimer, the study would tweak those plans to make sure people can get to and from the nearby Martin Luther King Jr. East Busway.”
